Origami!

Yes, I will post some information for the origami itself.
In Information I wrote just the basic things, which
can help you make an origami, but it is another thing to
look at their history, right? So.

Where did the origami came from? Well it is not really certain.
It is a Japaniese Art for folding paper, but there are some
doubts about it being Chinese. Origami originated from China
in the first century of the new age, but somewhere in sixth century
buddhists bring the art to Japan. From then on origami has become
a tradition in this country. Traditionally the goal of this art is to
create an object without cutting or gluing the paper.
In principle the object must be done from only one sheet
of paper – a square or a rectangle, and the paper itself can
have two colourful sides. Usually one of the sides is white.

The most famous origami is the Crane. It has proved to be
one of the most known origami in the world. We all
know about it! It is done for centuries in different shapes
and colours! Here is one really small:

The most interesting part of origami making is when
the model comes out from the flat state and move up
to the 3D objects. The creation of cubes, pyramides
and even buildings, is really hard, but the effect is
overwhelming. Many scientists are looking at that
part of origami making as science!

And all this is made from a single sheet of paper!

Something more interesting for the origami:

The word origami comes from “ori” – fold and
“kami” – paper. In the beggining the origami art was
not so famous and only the richer were using it and
had its knowledge. The samurai worriors thought that
the origami is a precious gift, bringing luck to them.
Once on weddings rise has been offered wrapped in origami -
butterfly, which symbolised the unity of the two newly-
married. With time people began finding more and
more easy ways to fold origami and that is how the
origami price began decreasing and the otigami became
accessible to all, regardless of peoples’ wealth. A tradition
is being created for making paper objects – origami, which
has been passed on the family generations!
A written diagram of an origami was made much later.
In the year 1797 a book called “How to fold a 1000 cranes”
was published, in which for the first time it is shown a diagram
of a crane. The crane, as we said before, is a sacred
bird for Japan. It is considered that if a man folds 1000 cranes
he has the right of one wish. Later on other books also come 
into the market, and that is how the art of origami was made
famous and has become one incredible and entartaining thing
for entire Japan. Somewhere in eight century the origami
showed in Spain, after been invadet. They were carryed there
by the conquers. From Spain the origami spread to
South America and after trade routes were created with Europe
they were brought here. Later on the origami reached USA.

Now there are many masters of the traditional origami.
One of the most famous ones is Akira Yoshizawa from Japan.
Maybe he is “the father of modern origami”, because he created
many models. He also invented the terms and symbols that we
all use now to solve the sicrets of the origami.

So, I think that you know a lot about origami! They are
now not only a great thing to fill your spear time, but
they have become a knowledge, which you can start passing
on the generations in your family…
